摘要

An ozonation process was used for in situ removal of two species of green algae namely Oocystis sp. and Cosmarium sp. from a dam. According to the results, under the optimum conditions of the ozonation process 85.18 and 58 of Oocystis sp. and Cosmarium sp. were removed, respectively. Furthermore, the obtained results confirmed the main role of ozone molecules, and active hydroxyl radicals during the degradation mechanism. Also, chlorophyll-a concentration, SEM images, GC-MS technique proved the effectiveness of ozonation process for the complete and in situ removal of algal species.
