FDTD modeling of a non-linear switching transistor (Tr) and a PCB model with a switching driver to analyze the magnetic near field noise radiated from printed signal and power lines driven by a switching Tr is discussed by comparison to experiments. FDTD simulation for the low frequency switching is possible by using Ebers-Moll Tr model with junction or diffusion capacitance and internal parameters of the element. Since calculated and measured results of the magnetic near field spectrum radiated by printed signal and power lines are in good agreement, FDTD simulation is suitable for discussing the noise radiated from a PCB with a switching Tr.
