Chaos is nonperiodic and could generate a sequence with infinite length theoretically. Although the sequence looks like a noise, the value can be predicted exactly if the dynamics and the initial value are provided. In this study, a possibility of chaotic sequences for a kind of memory is investigated. At first, a chaotic sequence with a given number is stored. When a few number of successive values are obtained from the storage, the position of the head of the successive value is estimated. Varying the length of the sequence and S/N of the data-reading channel, the error rate is evaluated by computer simulations.
