ECGC Ltd. (former Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India Limited) was incorporated in 1957 in order to facilitate and strengthen India's exports by covering the risks faced by Indian exporters and their bankers.ECGC is the seventh largest credit insurer of the world in terms of coverage of national exports. ECGC is also a member of Berne Union, an association of credit insurer worldwide.
