Complexes of the type ML2.2H20 of Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) with 4-amino-3-hydrazino-1,2,4-triazole hydrochloride (LH) have been prepared and characterised on the basis of elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility measurements, infrared and electronic spectral data. The EPR spectra of the Cu(II) complexes have also been recorded in the polycrystalline state at room temperature. All the complexes are high-spin six-coordinated distorted octahedral in nature.
