AWARENESS PROGRAM ON LEGAL METROLOGY ACTFOR COFFEE ROASTERS

An awareness program on the new amendments to Legal Metrology Act was organized for the benefit of all the coffee roasters on 3rd November 2011 at the Coffee Board's office at Bangalore in association with the Coffee Roasters Association. The main objective of the programme was to create awareness in coffee roasters regarding the new amendments in Legal Metrology Act.Mr. Jawaid Akthar I.A.S., Chairman, Coffee Board, inaugurated the programme. Mr. M. Chandrashekar, Secretary, Ms. Roop Rashi, Director of Finance, Dr. K. Basavaraj, Head Quality Control and other scientific staff from Head Office participated in the programme. Fifty growers from different areas attended the programme. Mr. Suryaprakash, from Coorg Coffee, has modulated the programme.
