Recent extensive field and taxonomic studies have revealed new taxa of various ranks in the leguminous tribe Vicieae, whereas few other taxa had to be revised. Most of the findings were in the Northern districts of Israel and the Golan Heights. The article sums up these innovations, diagnostically describing two new taxa inLathyrusand three inVicia.Possible modes of differentiation in the tribe are briefly discussed.
