EXPERIENCE OF PIPE CONVEYOR IN CONVEYING CEMENT AND CLINKER AT DURGA HITECH CEMENT

摘要

The paper describes the experiences of commissioning Pipe Conveyors for conveying cement and clinker to their respective storages in Durga Hitech Cement plant, Durgapur. The key design features of Pipe Conveyor are also ex-plained. The problems encountered during commissioning are Bulging of the pipe and consequent tripping, Rotation and twisting, Changing of overlap and Belt getting inside the idler bracket. Each of these problems was analyzed and tailor made solutions implemented for continuous and smooth running of the Pipe Conveyor.
