SummaryA 2‐year‐old boy underwent 22 consecutive anaesthetics with rectal methohexitone for radiation of a recurrent craniopharyngioma. In 21 instances rectal methohexitone, as the sole agent provided adequate anaesthesia, while on one occasion, due to early defaecation of methohexitone, anaesthesia had to be supplemented with ketamine intravenously.
