Synthesis of Some Ferrocenyl Substituted 1,2,4-S-Triazolo-3,4-b-1,3,4-Thiadiazoles

Six new 3-substituted-6-ferrocenyl-1,2,4-triazolo-3, 4-b-1,3,4-thiadiazoles have been synthesized by the condensation of 3-substituted-4-amino-5-mercapto-1,2,4-s-triazoles with ferrocene carboxylic acid in the presence of phosphorus oxychloride. These compounds were characterized by elemental analyses, IR, UV and1H NMR spectra.
