The addition of stoichiometric amounts of triphenylarsine or triphenylstibine to Rh(diolefin)2ClO4or Rh (diolefin) (Me2CO)xClO4leads to the formation of complexes of the Rh (diolefin)L2ClO4type. Normal pressure carbonylation yields pentacoordinated Rh (diolefin) (AsPh3)2COClO4or, respectively, tetracoordinated Rh (CO)2(SbPh3)2ClO4complexes.
