This paper discusses the switching time in polymer-dispersed liquid-crystal systems based on nematics with an impurity complex of fullerene C60 and/or C70 plus a donor organic substance. It is shown that introducing fullerene-containing complexes produces a substantial acceleration of the director-reorientation processes of liquid-crystal structures when the Fréedericksz effect is implemented and a pulsed supply voltage is applied to the structures. A possible reorientation mechanism is discussed.
