摘要

The effects of exogenously applied plant growth regulators on certain morphological and biochemical changes that occur during an 8-day period after imbibition of sesame seeds were investigated. The influence of phytohormones on the levels of proteinsand the enzymes associated with their breakdown were determined in sesame seedlings during the same period of study. The mobilization of proteins was stimulated by gibberellic acid and kinetin through promoting thiol proteinase activity. These hormones had negligible effect on the BAPNAase activity. Abscisic acid acted antagonistic to gibberellic acid and kinetin and it depressed protein mobilization.
