Protective Clothing for the Pesticide Applicators

Seven protective garments beak shaped mask, cap with mask, hood mask, scarf mask, starched kurta, jacket and pyjama of water proof fabric were designed to protect pesticide applicators from the health hazards. The level of acceptability and satisfaction of the functional features of these protective garments were assessed separately. All the respondents were highly satisfied with all the features of the beak shaped mask, hood mask and kurta. The respondents were satisfied with the functional featuresof cap with mask but were not satisfied with the protection provided by scarf mask. Waterproof garments provided protection from pesticide but were not comfortable to wear during summers.
