In North-Eastern India... Gerbera in open field cultivation is promising

The improvement in flower yield in gerbera along with quality flowers is more challenging task, especially in the vagaries associated with its open field conditions. Changing date of planting brought difference in flower yield of gerbera by 1.5 tonnes/ha. While dual organic manuring raised productivity of gerbera by 0.24 tonnes/ha over the conventional inorganic fertilization. Both production techniques, collectively have potential of improving performance of gerbera under open field conditions in northeast India.
