The Aesculus indica, commonly known as Indian horse chestnut, is an attractive nectar-secreting tree. It bears beautiful, multicoloured flowers during May-June. Its leaves, forming a beautiful canopy, also attract onlookers. The tree sheds their leaves from October to December but posses brown coloured, horse chest-shaped fruits In cluster on leafless branches. Its almost all parts have medicinal properties while wood is good for timer. Now its tree is becoming popular as a beautiful avenue tree in hilly regions.
