The analysis of the accuracy of the aposteriori error estimation procedure for finite#x2010;element solutions is presented. The functionY #x2014; yis used as an aposteriori error estimator, herey #x2208;S01,#x394;is the finite#x2010;element solution of the given problem andY #x2208; S02,#x394;is the high order solution of the same problem. The second order accuracy is proved for this error estimator in theL2,H1and L8norms. Results of numerical experiments are presented.
