Citrus is a group of fruits having enormous importance for the fruit-based industries. Though we are increasing our production with increase in area but not the quality and quantity/unit area. It needs adoption of recommended cultivation practices. Before planting an orchard selection of soil, variety and adequate planting material are pre-requisites since once an orchard is established it is impossible to replace the same easily. Following other scientific methods of cultivation quality citrus fruits in higher quantity may be obtained.
