摘要

Wireless communications have become very diverse. Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) Mesh network technologies represent a promising architecture for future communications to achieve a ubiquitous wireless access environment. The application of Enhanced Distributed Channel Access, which represents a combination of a Medium Access Control enhancement and QoS technology for the IEEE802.11, to mesh networks is expected to enhance the mesh network performance. However the problem of buffer overflow arises at relay mesh access points (MAPs) in mesh networks utilizing the Transmission Opportunity function. To resolve this issue, we previously proposed the Adaptive Contention Window Control (ACW) technique. In this paper, we present an experimental evaluation of the ACW technique focusing on throughput performance in relay MAPs.
