OPERATING EXPERIENCE WITH THE LARGEST ROLLER MILL -THE QUADROPOL~C 61/30 FOR RAW MATERIAL GRINDING

The Quadropol Roller mill was developed and introduced with the aim to have a high efficient, most reliable compact raw grinding system to serve high capacity modern Clinker production lines with the required raw meal. After developing the mill in the 1990's and commissioning a small industrial prototype in 1998, the first full scale industrial applications are operating successfully since 2000. In the year 2005 Polysius got the contract to build a Quadropol 61/30 for Gulf Cement in Ras Al Khaimah UAE for 600 t/h. With 7000 kW installed power this mill became the largest vertical roller mill ever build.
