Exporters fock to China to replace Indian demand

Prices for delivered coke into China also came under pressure this week under the weight of the Indian ban.The Argus 6.5pc sulphur, 40 HGI cfr China price fell by $3/t to $101/t. Many Chinese importers received offers of 5.5pc sulphur coke from India for December delivery around $105/t cfr, as Indian refners seek new homes for their production. Saudi Arabian coke was also being aggressively marketed in China, with offers falling to $101/t from $106/t two weeks ago.
