摘要

The study was conducted in Jalandhar district (Punjab) selected under Central Sector Scheme for Women in Agriculture by Government of India. A sample of 105 respondents was selected by stratified proportionate random sampling. Majority supervised theenterprise themselves. The majority of women earned net income from beekeeping up to Rs 3,000/ annum and in the case of dairy, the majority earned above Rs 40,000/annum. The net returns from dairy and bee keeping jointly came out to be Rs 55,000/farm/annum. Most of the farm women engaged in dairy and beekeeping, surveyed the market, sold their products directly to consumers and kept records. The problems faced by women entrepreneurs were shortage of funds, lack of training agencies, shortage of skilledlabour and lack of cooperative societies.
