Two weeks after plunge dipping in 0.0125 per cent lindane* emulsion the average level of lindane in the fat of shorn sheep was 2.5 p.p.m. (range 1.2#x2013;3.9) and in unshorn sheep 5.0 p.p.m. (range 4.0#x2013;6.6). Residues of lindane in fat were negligible 8 weeks after dipping shorn sheep and 12 weeks alter dipping unshorn sheep.
