AbstractIntegration of attempts to explain trauma with therapies focused on the change process is important for effective therapy. An attempt is made to use hypnotic and strategic therapy principles within a dissociative conceptualization of the trauma response. Case examples of strategic therapy principles and of a trauma case are presented to aid in clarification of concepts.
