摘要

AbstractThe glass transition temperatures of polystyrene, poly(methyl methacrylate), and copolymers prepared from their respective monomers were determined by using a volume dilatometer. The glass transition temperatures of polystyrene and poly(methyl methacrylate) were found to be 82 and 104°C., respectively. The glass transition temperatures obtained for the copolymers were between the values determined for each of the homopolymers and were a monotonic function of the polymer composition. The experimental values agree with predictions in the literature based on interpolation formulae.
