The Fabry-Perot fiber laser using a Er-doped fiber and fiber bragg gratings was constructed. The oscillation wavelength and an optical output power depending on the EDF length, emission power, and the reflectance of FBG were measured. Theoretical calculations of the oscillation wavelength and the optical power were carried out using the gain and absorption characteristics of EDF used in the experiment, and the data in the experiment were fit qualitatively. Moreover it is attained that oscillation modes were reduced by shortening the resonator length.
