Aleuritic acid, isolated(30/100)from Bangladeshi shellac has beenfound to undergo polymerization by heat treatment. The behaviour ofpolymerization in terms of kinetics point of view has been studiedand found that the overall reaction is bimolecular. Other propertiesof the polymer sample, such as acid value, saponification value andester value have also been determind.
