IEI M&B Promotion Meet and Grant-in-Aid Distribution Ceremony

The R&D promotional meet and IEI Grant-in-Aid distribution for the year 2011-2012 organized under the aegis of Research & Development Committee (RDC) and Committee for Advancement of Technology and Engineering (CATE) and was hosted by West Bengal State Centre of The Institution of Engineers (India) on August 03, 2011, in Kolkata. Mr GPrabhakar, President of the Institution, formally inaugurated the function and addressed the gathering. Prof (Dr) N R Bandyopadhyay, Chairman, CATE and Dr U Chadrashekhar, Chairman, RDC, highlighted the efforts of IEI - a SIRO, Ministry of Science and Technology, Gol recognized Institution, towards the cause of promotion of R&D and also pointed out that the effort of the Institution is unique in the sense that there is provision of funding projects at UG level which is not so in cases of other premier organizations like DST, CSIR etc. Further it was mentioned that the online application for R&D grant will be accepted throughout the year to encourage more participation.
