In the rush to new energy savings technologies, it is easy to overlook the valuable energy saving opportunities available with existing equipment and control systems. Jeff Whiting, Energy Centre spokesman for Mitsubishi Electric, says today's existing industrial and building controls may already have a great deal to offer in the fight for energy efficiency. Many systems, with minimal investment, can achieve significant savings. The great news is that the savings achieved easily outstrips the small investment required and often extends the life of existing controls.
