摘要

Recognizing the growing impact of the "geospatial" industry on the national and global economy, the global engineering, consulting, and construction company Black Veatch earlier this year expanded the geographic information systems (GIS) practice within its water business. To lead this growing practice, the company selected Paul Ginther to head its new GIS Department. Ginther had joined Black Veatch in 2006 to lead the company's GIS Implementation Team, which had previously operated as part of Black Veatch's Infrastructure Planning Department. Mr. Ginther has more than 25 years of experience in consulting, project management and implementation experience in projects involving GIS. He recently spoke with EBJ about the geospatial industry and his new role at Black Veatch.
