In this paper, we will investigate the index of refraction modulation effect on optical filtering properties of Fibonacci-class quasi-multilayer stacks. In this work, some modulating curves are used for both pure and chirped Fibonacci-class structures. The effect of some modulating curves on filtering characteristics is investigated. Our simulation illustrates the effect of modulating curves on pure and chirped Fibonacci-class quasi-periodic structures and we obtain very excellent filtering performance for chirped and modulated quasi-periodic multilayer stacks with respect to periodic structures.
