In a preliminary study carried out in Italy, the average, maximum and minimum freezing points of milk samples, obtained from donkeys at three farms between March and August or between September and December, were evaluated. The differences between months and farms in the milk freezing point and lactose concentration were limited, and it was concluded that further research is required. Data are presented in two tables..
