摘要

Space technology is relatively young compared to other modern technologies. However, in only forty years, this novel domain has achieved a tremendous level of complexity and sophistication. The reason for this is most satellites, once in space, rely heavily on the quality of their onboard instrumentation and on the design ingenuity of the scientists and engineers who produce them. A Consortium of colleges led by PES University with the help of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and The Institution of Engineers (India), has undertaken one such satellite project named PISAT to enlighten the students about space technology and provide an opportunity to have hands on experience.
