摘要

An extended variable separated ODE method is proposed for constructing the explicit and exact solutions for the mKdV-sine-Gordon equation by introducing a more general auxiliary ODE, and by applying its abundant types of solutions, we cannot only recover the previously known exact solutions, but also obtain some new formal solutions.
