Bending Force Constants for Halogenated Ethylenes

Force constants have been calculated for the outhyphen;ofhyphen;plane bending motions of the vinyl halides and forcishyphen; andtranshyphen; 1,2hyphen;dichloroethylene. Published vibrational assignments have been followed for the most part, but several changes were found necessary. A generally consistent set of force constants was obtained in which the values are also similar to those for the methyl halides.
