摘要

I have read the article by Chen et al. about the use of vancomycin impregnated bone grafts in infected tibial nonunions. The use of antibiotics and antibiotic impregnated materials in infected cases is a known issue in orthopedic surgery 1-6, Chen et al. have definitely made a relevant contribution to the literature but I think there are questions to be asked regarding this study. Firstly, regarding the technical aspect, I think that a homogenous impregnation of the cancellous bone with antibiotics is not possible just by mixing the two in a jar.
