Electric drives complement pneumatic ones - Festo has added electric piston rod drives to its existing range of pneumatic cylinders

Electric drives do not need to compete with pneumatic drives, for Festo they perfectly complement their capabilities. The latest example is the electrical piston rod cylinder type DNCE, offering maximum ease of positioning in a traditional ISO cylinder housing. It is the counterpart to the successful pneumatic ISO standard cylinder DNC with the same basic profile.
