Acquiring data without hindering the process

We find out how a company succeeded in acquiring data from disparate control systems across its high-volume bottle manufacturing process, without affecting PLC cycle times. The manufacturing stakes are high at Amcor's Gresford PET bottle manufacturing plant. With the ability to manufacture more than 10 million containers each day, production quality has to be optimised and all equipment has to be reliable. Amcor engineers have undertaken a radical overhaul of the manufacturing information system over the past two years, to help achieve reliable and accurate production.
