Sustainable Development of Coal for Energy Security

The above activity,organized under the aegis of the Indian National Committee of World Mining Congress (INC-WMC),was held at Hotel Ashok,New Delhi,during December 11-13,2006.Dr Montek Singh Ahluwalia,Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission,Government of India,was the Chief Guest.Dr D N Rao,Minister of State for Coal,Government of India,presided over the Session.Dr T S Reddy,Minister of State for Mines,Government of India and Dr Kirit S Parikh,Member (Energy),Planning Commission,Government of India,were present as the Guests-of-Honour.Shri H C Gupta,Secretary,Ministry of Coal,Government of India,delivered the keynote lecture.
