The Trichur Local Centre of the Institution organised a two-day All India Seminar on the topic 'Mechanisation in Agriculture -Entrepreneurial Perspective' under the aegis of Agricultural Engineering Division during February 19-20, 2011. Mr P J Thomas, District Collector of Trichur, in his inaugural address said that problem of food scarcity was a matter of deep concern and to tide over the problem it was necessary to increase the food production. He opined that mechanisation was urgently required for augmenting food production and engineers have a major role to play in this respect. He congratulated the Trichur Local Centre of IEI fororganising Seminaron such an important topic.
