A manufacturer of food filling machines needed to solve the problem of computer breakdowns on a machine which is subjected to regular washdowns and vibration. A customised IPC has offered a solution. The Combiseptic food filling machine, made by German company Gasti, operates in an environment which requires frequent and thorough cleaning, and is also subject to considerable vibration. Computer issues posed a problem for the company, leading it to look for a more suitable alternative to the originally specified PC. A customised industrial PC with a remote operator panel solved the problem of frequent breakdowns on a food filling machine.
