Agro-Tech Industries: Status, Scope and Strategies for Food Security

Gujarat State Centre of the Institution in association with Anand Agricultural University, Anand; Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers; Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation Ltd. and NABARD, organised the Twenty-ninth National Convention of Agricultural Engineers on the theme 'Agro-Tech Industries: Status, Scope and Strategies for Food Security' at Anand during February 20-21, 2016. The Convention was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mr Mohanbhai Kundariya, Hon'ble Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India. In his inaugural address, Mr Kundariya expressed his concern for the farming community and said that the agro-tech industry will facilitate the growth of modern technologies and make these available to farm level at lower cost which in turn will help to accelerate the overall development of agriculture and socio-economic status of the farmers.
