Ecopetrol CEO Felipe Bayon spoke with Pietro D.Pitts,Hart Energy's international managing editor,at CERA Week by SP Global in March to discuss the advances the state-owned company has made under his leadership.Bayon,who stepped down from his position on March 31,remains optimistic about the company's joint venture with Occidental Petroleum Corp.in the Permian Basin.He's equally excited about the recent gas discoveries offshore Colombia and the company's ability to gradually boost reserves.
