摘要

When Buildair delivered its H45 inflatable hangar - fitted with the latest developments in airtight technology - to GMR Aero Technic last March, it represented the first such delivery in Asia. However, it could be the first of many. With India's government initiating taxation changes in the hope of ensuring much more heavy maintenance work is performed domestically, the country's MRO sector will need to grow fast. That means investment in infrastructure - and inflatable hangars, which offer short delivery times, competitive pricing and portability, could be an attractive solution, according to Buildair's commercial director Felipe Cano Ventas. "There are important business opportunities for Buildair," he says. The company's modular structures are formed by independent structural tubes, enjoy safety redundancies (with every tube powered by two independent inflation motors) and maintain their structural stability, even when there are several damaged or inoperative tubes, which can be easily repaired or replaced. The hangars utilise fabric that is stable between -30℃ and 70℃.
