Suncor 4Q output down on unplanned outages

Two separate upsets at major Canadian oil sands projects negatively afected fourth quarter production, Suncor said on 18 January. The combined impact to production between upsets at Syncrude and Firebag assets was 195,000 b/d during the sec- ond half of December, when the two incidents occurred, which translates to about 35,000 b/d across the fourth quarter.
