Animal feed industry feeds on growing population

With the expected hike in demand for meat products due to the increasing population, there is no way for the animal feed industry to go but up. Data from the Bureau of Animal Industry show presendy, there are only 11 commercial mixed feeds manufacturers that have been able to corner a considerable industry market share. The largest producer of mixed animal feed is San Miguel Foods, Inc. with a rated capacity of 1,422 metric tons (MT) of feeds for every eight-hour shift, followed by Vitarich Corp. with a 1,144 MT turnover per eight-hour shift.
