Armando V, Zambas of Barangay Kibatan, Don Carlos, Bukidnon awarded as an Out-sianding Farmer Adopting Integrated Farming System by Gawad-Saka Award because of his genuine adoptau'on of an integrated farming system, Department of Agriculture's (DA) agenda for high value crops. He also provided a working model for Farm Management Pathways in Key Commercial Crops Areas that brought up diverse opportunities for small farmers in an upland area with long tradition of monoculture cropping. Mang Mando is agood farm model and an exceptional example of a small farmer who succeeded through his own efforts in obtaining the full support of the local government officials -- from the mayor to the barangay officials. Truly, he became an effective change agent ofthe DA whose extension functions are now succeeded to the local government.
