Studies on the management and breeding/ reproduction intervention to improve reproductive efficiency in gilts have been comprehensively reviewed in this professional lecture, However, results of the three latest experiments conducted by the author about similar problem or field of interest are briefly presented in this proceedings. Almlid (1981) as cited by Murray et al (1983) reported increased embryo survival to fifth week of pregnancy in gilts by the addition of non-specific leukocytes to semen.
