The coastal town of Paoay in Ilocos Norte is better known as the hometown of the revolutionary leader Valentin Diaz and a world heritage site selected by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) because of its historic baroque-inspired church and belfry. In fact, the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLOT) recently launched a special Touch Card edition using a photo of the Paoay church and belfry.
