The Hershey Company launched a new Future CEO program and is providing support for non-profit partners, Girl Up and Girls on the Run to help mentor young women leaders. The initial phases of the program kick off immediately, with other components culminating in March with International Women's Day that includes a virtual event hosted by Hershey CEO Michele Buck and other women leaders. The program will include 10 participants: five from Hershey's international markets of Mexico, Brazil, Canada, India and the Philippines chosen by Girl Up, and five from the U.S. chosen by Girls on the Run. Each participant will also receive a scholarship to further their education and develop leadership skills. Girl Up, an initiative of the UN Foundation, provides training, tools and community to build leadership and accelerate social change. Girls on the Run creates programming to strengthen social, emotional, physical and behavioral skills for successfully navigating life experiences.
